Mondeo Mk4 (2007) Tail Light Wiring

Featured Replies

I have an issue with the rear left lights on my 2007 Mondeo. The running lights don't work at all.

Bulbs all work fine as have tested them in the right hand cluster, have also had a mechanic do a quick power check for me on the cluster itself, and there's no power reaching it.

A quick search shows that there's a green junction box of sorts in the boot which I've had a look at, checked for corrosion and couldn't see anything there. I'm now thinking to replace that box but does anyone have a clue what it would be called? I can take a photo tonight if needed, just hoping the hive mind may be able to help, or offer advice in a different direction based on experience.

Thanks in advance,

Adam

are you saying it's just the taillight that does not work but brake light and indicator do?  if so, you could take the easy way to do it and run a wire from the other taillight on the other side of car. sometimes it's just easier to work around the problem than to find out what the real problem is.  I know some people will say this is a bodge.

Brake, indicator and fog lights all still work. just the night/running lights that don't!

Buy yourself a  cheap test meter... however, if you're not a hands-on person it's not easy to guide you thro' the troubleshooting process.
