Hi all, I've just got myself a 1.8 Focus 1.8 Tdci, 2004 plate. Really nice car, I tried a couple of Tdi Golf's and pug 206's and they didn't match the focus in any department.

Anyway, to the point...small issue is that I have no spare key, just the original master. I want to get a spare cut, it doesn't have to be remote, standard would be ok as a spare. Can anyone please help me out and let me know if the key needs to be chipped/coded, or can I just get one cut from the master?

if you only have one key then you need a specialist to do it as to code new keys to a car or the fords you need two working original keys so youll need to look through th e yellow opages look for a mobile key cutting/coding and get a price it wont be cheap likely 70 quid or so but its the only way ford will tell you that you need diagnostics and 3 keys cut likely price 300 plus some have been qouted 600 plus but dont wait get it done as the master will get worn and make cutting a new one impossible then it gets more expensive and more hassle as they will have to make a cast orf the barrell etc etc
