2004 2.0 TDCI - Codes P0101, P0380, P0691

Featured Replies

Hi,

had a little issue with the car recently. On tick over the engine can be a bit noisy and shake (more than normal) I have a OBD scanner tool and once I clear the codes the engine gets a lot quieter which is weird.
Also lately if I leave the car for longer than a day or 2 the battery seems to be flat and doesnt have enough power to crank the engine over. I know the battery is good as it is only a year or so old. It isnt much of an issue outside my house as I can leave it on charge but when I am away I worry it wont start and have to get a jump start from someone.

The codes on the scanner are as follows:
P0101 - Powertrain - Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Range/Performance Problem
P0380 - Powertrain - Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A'
P0691 - Powertrain - No more info.

Any idea on what would be causing the battery drain from them codes at all?
Also any ideas on how to fix those codes?

Cheers
Mason

I would ask in the general ford  section, not many if any of us do any real work on our cars in this section, I know I'm long past it.
