    In brief, according to the Haynes manual you need to remove the steering column and then clutch pedal with master cylinder attached, then rotate the master cylinder off the pedal.

    Yes the steering column does have to come out , very important that you don't move it from its position, not the easiest job I did on a mondeo but the Haynes manual is for once a decent guide.
