mcdoherty Posted April 1, 2010 Share Posted April 1, 2010 I have an old fiesta S reg, every now and then (like every 6 months) it decides to fill with a strong burning petrol smell, and thick white smoke comes from the exhaust, the car starts juddering and sometimes (not very often), cuts out- but i am able to start it again straight away. It seems to do it for a while, and then fix itself after about a day. Does anyone know what could be causing this as i dont want to be ripped off by a garage due to not having a clue.
