Doors will not open

Featured Replies

I left my Streetka luxury for a week and found it had locked its doors.  The key mkes the mechanism work by the sounds of it and I can open the boot with it but the doors will not open.   Turn the key one way and the handles pull up but do not open the doors, turn it the other way and the handles will not pull up as far - and the same with the buttons.  It is a new battery so should still have reasonable charge in it.  What to do please?

Sorted.   The trouble with Ford locks is that they go through a full cycle and lock again.   If you turn the key to unlock and hold it there while the lock cycles and pull the handle, with luck the door will come open.   Then, take off door trim and fold back the poly sheet, undo 3 screws holding doorlock and detatch the longer of the two rods, lift up the lock and take out the plug.    Put it all back.   Central locking on a 2 door is ridiculous anyway.
