Broken Fuel Injector

Hi all, 

While changing a leaking fuel injector seal, imageproxy.php?img=&key=0e662d3074f136c9 i noticed that a different injector has a part snapped. (See photos). I assume I've done this while gaining access/cleaning as I'm pretty sure I'd have more problems while running the engine if it was snapped before. 

I have 2 questions:

1. Do I have to change the whole injector of can change the snapped part?

2. If I can just changed the snapped part, what is it called? I cant find it anywhere on the internet.

    I've ordered a Bosch Injector leak off connector from Ebay which fits my model. 

    Will post an update once the part arrives next week
