So, a couple of days ago the car was running a bit 'lumpy' at first start, then yesterday (27th April) the engine management light came on. The car is slightly overdue for a service but it doesnt do high mileage (< 12000 since new).  The only time I have ever had an engine management light come on before was due to bad fuel. Spoke to my local ford dealer and they advised to give it a couple of days to clear and if it doesn't, call them back and they will see what they can do. I've had a look at previous posts which are similar and they seem to ultimately have been sensor related. We'll see how we go.
