Dalejordan1
Hi all, I’ve recently bought a Ford C-Max 1.6 tdci, when accelerating around 2000rpm I get a rattle noise which sounds like it comes from the passenger side. When I listen to the noise under the bonnet it sounds like it’s on the passenger side but right at the back, sounds like a rattling noise. Any help appreciated
Grunthos the Flatulent
Without hearing it in the flesh, I'd say it could be the baffles in the exhause silencer. Or it could be the exhaust heat shield under the car have come loose.
pragmatix
Could be the heat shield, get underneath and have a poke about you don't need to get the car of the ground.
Dalejordan1
Hi I’ve recently had the car plugged in and found a fault code. Invalid data received from brake system control module... also when I start the car from cold it’s very lumpy and some white smoke from exhaust and it kangaroos down the road but is fine when the car has warmed up
Dalejordan1
To me I’m thinking maybe a dodgy thermostat as the car takes around 30/40 minutes before the temp gauge even moves
