Kuga mk2 trip computer problem

On start up with my trip computer set on the 4 screen mode it shows digital readings as per normal.  A short time later only the distance travelled readout is showing a digital reading, the other 3 are all showing dashes. Turn off the engine ,wait a few minutes ,start up and all is ok, but then a short time later the fault is back. ??????
