Squeeky Noises

Featured Replies

Hi, every time i drive over a pot hole or bumpy road i hear a squeaky noise and its driving me mad, i drive a 59 plate ford ka, and id say the npoise started after the snow we had after xmas, fisrt it was a tiny could hardly hear it squeak and now its more noticable, it started off like the noise was coming from the steering wheel somewhere and now it sounds like its coming from underneath that hole area, any ideas what could be wrong as i have no idea :(

theres a heat shield that sits around the bottom of the steering shaft could be loose the snow could have knocked it slightly or its dry rubbers get spray white grease and give all the rubbers under the car a good squirt of it and see if it goes away as its a new car sometimes they can dry out and squeek a bit

Try pressing down on each corner to see if you can recreate the sound. It could be a spring or damper. You can check for leaks on the dampers.
