Ford Ka mk1 rear side windows leaking

Featured Replies

Hello,

I bought a 2004 Ford Ka a couple of days ago and I noticed that both the rear windows are leaking water in when it's raining. I have read that this is a common issue with this car, but I am not sure how to fix it.

I tried to search of replacement window seals but all I could find was used seals on Ebay for about 10-20 pounds a piece. I am not sure about purchasing those becuase they might have the same problem as the current ones.

I was thinking of removing the windows and cleaning the side of the seal that faces the window , once it stops pouring outside, becuase when I wiped the water, the cloth was full of black and green stuff.

Any sugestion is helpful!

I have cleaned the side of the seal that faces the window with a towel with the windows on and that seemed to help.

It has been through a couple of short showers, and the windows stayed dry.

Will see what happens when a longer rain comes.
