Hi I have ford mondeo 2.2 tdci titanium mk4 on 09 plate struggling to start in morning and after leaving it for few hours turns over just won't fire up but after few time will end up starting had service and new glow plug still no change and also go to accelerate and it lags for a second then go's could anyone help with this please 

Was the fuel filter replaced at the service, they aren't normally, only at some major service. I'd start with that, but can't think of anything else just now... 🤔 

I had a 2008 Mondeo 1.8 Duratorq  (circa 100,000 miles on clock) until recently. It developed a starting problem which was similar to your description. Starter would spin engine at a good speed & engine would sometimes fire but would not run. Was NOT a glow plug problem. Auto electrician/fuel injection specialist diagnosed faulty starter motor which I found difficult to believe at the time. The specialist was correct! Hope this helps.
