Window on Mondeo won't go up

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a 2004 Ford Mondeo. I don't believe this was a model in the US, but I'm hoping the parts and make-up would be similar. Anyway, the driver's side window starting making a clicking noise when it would go up. And now, it won't go up or down at all. It's just hung up about 2 inches from the top. Unfortunately, I'm not usually someone that fixes anything on my own. But, I'm curious and willing to investigate further. For now, I'm just wondering, is this something that a general mechanic can help with or do you suggest I go to a Ford service dealer?

Any thoughts would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Dean

A normal garage should be able to fix this no problem.  Likely to be the motor and/or regulator at fault.

It's not a difficult job but probably not one for a novice realistically.  Depends how willing you are and what tools you have.
