Updating SYNC 2 to v3.10 after 17E09 recall

Featured Replies

Hello,

My 2016 Ford Focus Titanium X had a recall a few years back for 17E09 (DURATORQ DE-SULPHURISATION) which required a software update.

I'm looking to enable Navigation (It isn't enabled on the non-Navigator models) using FORScan but I'm wondering, if I update SYNC2 to version 3.10, will it overwrite the patch that was done to fix the 17E09 recall, or will 3.10 include that patch?

A SYNC (APIM) update has nothing to do with the engine (PCM). These are completely different modules. Every single module inside the car has its own software and configuration.

Updating the APIM module will not affect any of the other modules of the car.
