Which ABS pump for Focus mk2.5 2008 petrol 1.6

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I've got the ESP light on and code C1288 which I think means I need a new ABS pump.

There seems to be a few different part numbers for the ABS pump, does anyone know which one I need to a facelift 1.6 petrol focus?

Also does this mean I need to change the entire pump or can I just change the electronic module part (Is it even removable), does it need to be "programmed" to the car?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks all.

why not repair the designed in fault.... most do

on BMW motorbikes one of the main cures is to fit ford fiesta brush pack in the ABS "wiper motor "

you can't necessarily just fit the same component... the brain needs to know the engine / car config to do ESP and TC correctly

here's a few they fitted
