Unknown harness connector found under headlamp mk3.5

Featured Replies

Hi all, recently, while inspecting under the driver side headlamp I've found a 12 pin female connector unplugged, but I cannot find the male connector corresponding to this harness... do any one can give some idea about what could it be, or if need to be connected to any place? My first impression is that could be a pre-installation for front park sensors or pre-installation for adaptative fog lights or xenon headlamps... Please find attached the pictures.

Also, I found that there is a kind of soundproof black bag in the left side of the engine bay between the inner and outer front wings, but on the driver side there isn't any (because an old repaired crash some years ago). Can I put something on there (a bag filled with plastic bubbles) to act as soundproof on that side??

Thanks a lot in advance
