Focus mk3 electrical problems

Featured Replies

Recently got a 2011 MK3 TDCI privately from a family member.  There have been a verity of electrical issues: the car doesn’t boost properly (a lot of lag), stop start works very infrequently and ONLY when no radio, lights or blowers are on, front parking sensors don’t work (however these appear to be after-market so I am not too concerned). Lastly, the car will not always lock first time. I will press the button once and then go for the double lock and it doesn’t respond. I have to unlock and start again.

I replaced the battery about a month ago, but this hasn’t helped.

essentially I would like to know if this sounds familiar/is common in this model and age of car or if I should take it to an auto electrician to take a look?

thanks

By the time you get the 101 suggestions on here for a possible cause, you'd be quicker (and cheaper) in the long run to get a proper guy have a look...
