2012 stereo stopped working

Featured Replies

Hi everyone

boy got a focus today on a 61 plate, stereo was fine linked to our phones but he’s gone in to the car and the stereo wont turn on.
We have had it hours and the only thing is that we needed the car switched on for it to work.
I've plugged a diagnostic tool in for a general look but that’s all we have done. Any ideas??

cheers Mike

Sounds daft, if you can, give the battery a good charge. I’ve seen first hand on a mk2 and mk3 where the car would start fine but the radio display would not work at all. Really odd! Swapping or charging the battery sorted this is both cases.
