MK 2 Airbag ECU

Hi All

My Mother has a 2010 MK 2 KA and the airbag light is on constantly, She took it to the local Garage (not a main) dealer and he scanned it and said it needs a Air Bag ECU, Does anyone know are these coded to the car or can I just get one from a scrapped car, I seen a few on eBay but the mention something about crash data needing to be reset?? Not sure can this be done outside of Ford,

Also does anyone have any idea where in the car it is, I want to check the Part Number before I get one, maybe someone with Autodata can have a look in it please,
