Hi,

In recent months the multifunction warning light on my 05 Focus 1.8 TDCi has been coming up occasionally. Using ODB reader I can see a P0489 code has come up which relates to the EGR.

Reading the forums I have seen people who suggest to fitting a blanking plate in the inlet or changing the actuator.

Which option is the most viable as I like my car to ran for at least a few more years before scrapping.
