mk 3 water in foot well

Featured Replies

hi , i have a 2011 estate and recently out of nowhere have a very soggy carpets and foot well on the drivers side, no obvious sign of leak from seal etc. thought it was really heavy rain so dried it but got in this morning to the same again, has anyone else experience this ?

We have had a couple of Mk3's on here with wet footwells recently where no apparent cause was found.  Would be worth reading through this thread and checking the same things they checked.

Yep, check out Tom's tips in my thread. Very helpful even though there was nothing apparent with mine, it's dried out and not come back yet.

took it to ford yesterday they said its the aircon drain pipe is blocked

drove home with no aircon , sogging again this morning , ill try and remove the rain thing by the windscreen and check if its blocked

Mine seems cured without actually doing anything but I haven't quite dried it out yet. Definitely worth having a look  under that panel by the sounds of it.
