Intermittent start problems

Featured Replies

Hi, im wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience and can offer their advice.  I have recently bought a 2013 MK2 Ford Kuga, and after only having it for 5 days its started stuttering upon start up. Sometimes the car stutters then starts up, other times it stutters then just cuts out, taking 3/4 attempts to start it. Are there any common faults with this car that would make it easier to figure out what the problem is when I take it to the car garage? I paid for extended RAC platinum plus warranty on it so am hoping it'll be covered under that but if not I'm going to take issue with the car garage!!

Thanks in advance

Claire

Tell the garage you want your money back. Or you can give them one chance to fix it. See here

16 May 2020 · Short-term right to reject – the first 30 days If your new or used car has a significant fault that was present when you bought it (as opposed to developing afterwards), you can reject the car within the first 30 days and get a full refund.
