Electronic parking brake switch cracked

Featured Replies

Hi,

I own a 2018 Kuga Titanium which has an electromechanical parking brake. The switch located in the center console has cracked and I wanted to replace it. I have found a switch from a breakers but I was hoping I could get some guidance on how to do this? Will the entire center console need dismantling?

I think there is instructions on how to do this on Ford Etis but you need a license to see them,

Thanks for the advice,

Viren

Sorry to resurrect old thread but did you ever replace the handbrake switch? I have the same problem, some of the plastic on the handbrake switch has broken off. Switch still usable but would really like to replace as doesn't look great. Don't imagine it would be an expensive part, even buying new, seen used ones being sold online too. I imagine it just plugs into a wiring connector but unsure of removal process to access and replace the switch.
