Central locking

Featured Replies

Hello all,

My apologies if this is an old question but I can't seem to find any thread relating to my particular query....

i have a ford focus 08 mk2 it only came with the secondary key and no central locking fob so now i am trying to get a key that will remotely open the doors as well

i need to buy one but i don't know which is the correct one. i found this on amazon

https://smile.amazon.co.uk/433Mhz-Buttons-Keyless-Fushion-2004-2011/dp/B07YXJZRQX

I plan to take it to a key cutting shop, is this possible?

Is it also possible to program this to open the doors and boot as well?

i refuse to pay ford £185 + vat for something that i have found for £11.99 for the key and remote.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Lots of the reviews say it doesn't come with the transponder chip. Most of the time a decent locksmith should be able to provide the key blade, transponder chip and remote.

You need the chip in order to get it programmed to the car for the immobiliser.

Maybe worth tryingTimpsons, they helped us with a car key problem once
