Hi All,

 

Hoping for some advise before this I had a petrol Fiesta and never had this noise. When you unlock the car there is like a high pitched noise (attached video) this is a little loud very loud when you open the bonnet and seems to run for a few minuites or until you start the car. Wondering if this is normal or something I need to get looked at?

It may be completely normal on this car but i've never had a Diesel before any advice much appreciated!

There's nothing like that from my Diesel

Nothing like that from my 2L diesel either, it makes a weird sound when you get out after driving but nothing that loud or that happens before driving.

The new 2L ecoblue engines do make some strange noises with components powering up but not heard anything that loud, if I get a chance I'll check out another one tomorrow and see if it does something similar 👌

So this is a normal noise, just bought a 2L diesel vignale focus in and it makes the exact same noise as soon as the driver's door is opened. Suspect it's the fuel priming the system ready to start
