Warrantywise extended warranty

Featured Replies

Hi I have just had a quote from warrantywise for my 210 automatic 2017 model st line they are asking £1400 for three years warranty with £50 excess. This is my first quote so I was wondering what you guys thought about it and also have any body got any recommendations I live in Newcastle upon Tyne uk. thanks For reading.

It's always a gamble.  Would the 1400 quid in the bank cover any potential failures?  Always study the fine print, the weasel words that they use to wriggle out of paying.  First glance it looks ok.  Which level are you on?

It looks better than the "RAC" one I had with my old Merc.  There was a knock in the shocks which I proved with TSBs from Merc, and chassis number, etc., was caused by faulty shocks fitted at the factory.  But they wouldn't pay out fully because the fault was not visible.  It wasn't worth my time or money to try and press them and they knew it.

It is. I've always resisted extra warranties/GAP cover, etc, etc, in favour of "self insuring" and after a lot of years I'm still well ahead.😀

I personally would never get an extended Warranty but would alway's get GAP

Blimey, you could get an extended warranty through Ford for at least half of that. £1400 for 3 years is very expensive. Shop around.
On the Ford Edge Facebook group one guy has just got a Warranty Direct policy with 3 years cover for £474. Doesn't cover everything but does cover engine, turbo and gearbox.
