have you fitted them

Myself and numerous other people told you last week that your poor light output will be down to the burnt out projectors... but feel free to spend £70 odd before realising that lol.

I doubt they're UK road legal unless they have EU type approval.

Now am just wondering, once we have properly left the EU (Yes, I know we technically left on the 31st January 2020), will having 'EU type approval', still be needed for us? 🧐

The original HID headlights have integrated HID ballasts that are mounted at the bottom of the headlight assembly. The HID ballast converts the battery voltage and current to a voltage and current that is needed for the HID light to start and operate. If you want to install aftermarket LED lights the HID ballasts need to be disconnected and the aftermarket LED lights need to be connected to the wiring inside the headlight.

There is a 99% chance that the aftermarket LED lights cause a bulb check warning message. In some cases the car will even switch off the power to the headlights. To solve this you need to add a circuitry that makes the bulb check system think that the HID bulbs are still present. Since so called warning cancelers for halogen headlights are not suitable and the bulb check system can not be disabled on HID headlights you will most likely need a custom designed solution.

As already said. If the projector mirrors are corroded installing LED lights will not bring much.

GB has already said they will follow all EU regulations regarding motor vehicles. In any event a vehicle eg Ford made in Germany for export to UK  is hardly likely to made using parts without EU approval. As I understand it at present there are no LED aftermarket lamps that carry EU approval for use in motor vehicles. So there could be problems come MOT time if you use them.
