Ford Modneo MK5 Powershift transmission problem

Featured Replies

Hello,

I've recently bought used Ford Mondeo Mk5, 2.0 TDCi with 110.3kW and an automatic gearbox with 155000 km.

Now I have a problem where, when I start the car for the first time after a day or so, when changing from N to D, I can hear a sound of entering a first gear and pretty hard shake of the transmision. After ONE minute of driving, nothing happens at all, maybe a slight shake when entering from R from N. When driving, changing gears in D are completely fluent, no shakes. Transmission oil was changed before 37000km What this could be?

Sorry for my english, I'm missing technical words here.

Thanks in advance,

Sasa

As long as your gearbox has been serviced then I'd recommend running the transmission service functions. A shift fork learn and a clutch learn. This will basically reteach the gearbox how to work properly. It can probably only be carried out by your dealer. I do not know if other diagnostic equipment can run this function.
