Dodgy thermostat?!

Featured Replies

Hi, I've recently bought a Focus 1.6 tdci, 2013 plate with 75k on the clock. Driving down an A road earlier, I accelerated a couple of times to around 80mph, and noticed my temperature gauge go down to about a quarter, then as I come off the gas, it went back up to 90 degrees after a while. Any ideas as to what this could be? I bought from a dealer around three weeks ago, and this is the first time I've noticed it.

Thanks

Take a drive of an hour long or so, observe the temperature gauge. It should be arround 90 deg. after 25-30 minutes. If not than there is a problem.

...or, you could take it back to the dealer and let them sort it. Even the most dodgy of 'dealers' should have a warranty longer than 3 weeks. 😁
