This is new to me , if it’s affecting Ford Focus and Fiesta in USA ....I don’t know the situation in uk. Scotty’s talking deadlines for US buy back 

 

 

I'd take Scotty Kilmers videos with a pinch of salt. Notice how most of them are just over 10 minutes long? That's so he can run mid roll adverts and get more money. YouTubers that do that generally create clicky-bait videos for more views too. 

The original case alleged that 2012-2016 Focus and 2011-2016 Fiesta cars with the DPS6 transmission were prone to “shuddering, slipping, bucking, jerking, hesitation while changing gears, premature internal wear, delays in downshifting and, in some cases, sudden or delayed acceleration.”
 

Every automatic I ever drove!

That’s the dangerous part. Apparently Ford are spending $500mil buying them back. Are ford uk also buying back? 
Closest I’ve been was a 2017 focus with auto (powershift) I think. Drove very well. 

I've driven plenty of the dct 250 powershift and most are an acceptable drive, but when they do go wrong it's  poor at pulling away . Once out of 1st/2nd it's ok.  Not dangerous in anyway( low mph)  but jerky. 

The us market was not a good move to sell them when there used to the slushy autos that powers there larger vehicles.
