Some help with aux in on a Mk2 2007 Focus pls

I've been trying to add bluetooth in my 2007 Focus with the 6000CD head unit and am having issues. I've finally determined that the module i've got attached now is working correctly and sending audio down the right wires but running that to the aux in on my stereo and i get nothing. On receipt the c plug was wrongly wired it had left ok at 5 but right and ground were reversed (so it had red at 6 and yellow/green at 11). I also experimented with another source (ipod and hacked phono lead and it seems dead. There seems to be an empty fuse holder above the input.. is it relevant? I've attached a picture below. Any advice much welcomed thanks!
