Anybody know what these connections are for, the yellow one at the top and socket at the bottom

The tan (yellow) connector at the top of the 4.2-Inch FCDIM is for a rear view camera.

You can connect an original rear view camera, an original rear view camera control module, the original wiring and activate the rear view camera function. Another possibility is to connect an aftermarket (NTSC) rear view camera and use custom (paid) FCDIM software.

The connector at the bottom of the 4.2 Inch FCDIM is not used. As far as I know this connector was originally designed for diagnostic purposes at the factory. Other FCDIM types do not have this connector.

Thanks for your info Wilco .would this have something to do with the grey plug in the boot. My car has front and rear parking sensors and Im told it should have the grey plug but its not there.Ive read lots of posts on reversing cameras but its all a bit confusing.

The fact that the car has Active Park Assist (with front and rear parking sensors) does not necessarily mean that the wiring for the reverse camera is also present.

In fact in most cases the wiring for the reverse camera is not present at all on Focus MK3 vehicles.
