Can’t connect my phone to sync

Featured Replies

Hi I am trying to connect sync to my 2014 Ford Focus but my phone can not find it and I was told from that Ford dealer I need a software update is there any way of doing this with out going to dealer and mechanic please

many thanks

Ben jeffrey

Are you able to do a master reset?

I very much doubt it needs a software update. Even if it did, it would probably cost less to change the module to sync1.1 than pay for a software update.

Idek if sync 1 can be updated using USB, I thought it was only 1.1.

Go to Here and type in your VIN. If you don't have it to hand click vehicle on This page and add your reg it will show your VIN.

I had a similar problem with my 2015 ford focus tried factory reset, master reset turning off the phone rebooting the phone nothing seemed to work .i pulled the fuse from the board under the passenger foot well reinstalled after 10/20 sec working fine now :) hope this helps :)
