Please help me out with this

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I've previously asked a question on this forum and no one got back to me but here is a bit more detail.

I want to add an underseat subwoofer so I've figured out just now how to take off the screen, trim panels etc. All the way down to the APIM. I've taken out the harness and had a look.

The problem is, I can't find any wiring diagrams for my MK4 Focus with Nav. I have done hours and hours of research and my whole evening today spent in the car with the car in pieces trying to find a wiring diagram. Please if someone has the details, can I have the colours for front right speaker and front left speaker.

Here are some pictures.

Thankyou very much in advance

This reply isn't going to be that helpful I'm afraid. The MK4 is quit a new model and there aren't any aftermarket audio parts available. The stock sun is in the boot, I'd take a look there for any other cabling. Best I can do I'm afraid.

Martin, you realise Glasgow Rangers financially rescued your club back in the 20s? (might have been earlier)

a lot of English clubs claim affiliation with Rangers but Arsenal is the only one with a true connection.

Hopefully someone can help me out ASAP. Where abouts in the boot is it? Within the sides somewhere? There isn't anything near the spare wheel

Thankyou very much. Just another question, I heard it is always better to wire to rear speaksrs but because I set the DSP occupancy to front speakers I thought it's a better idea to wire to them rather than rears? Is this correct?

I'm not sure how connecting to the fronts would affect performance, like you say the recommended is from the rears, the only sub I've ever fitted was to a Punto and I tapped into the rears for that as the head unit didn't have the correct outputs.
