I have Read in the press that the fixes will take months rather than weeks or days. It appears that several items will have to be reworked around the battery area and fuel tank. Fords are offering by way of compensation and good will 3 years free servicing, £500.00 Fuel card, extended warranty and curtsey car when car goes in for the upgrade.   7 cars in Europe have caught fire so far, none in the UK.
