Diesel TDCI - Exhaust temp low for DPF fault code P244C

Hi all,
 
I have been experiencing loud exhaust noise and juddering.  This typically occurs in stop-start driving scenarios but has occurred from immediate motorway driving. 
The following Fault Code has appeared:  P244C: 00-6D – Exhaust Temperature Too Low for Particulate Filter Regeneration, Bank 1
 
I have had the DPF vaporiser checked and there is no blockage.  I am note sure how to go about resolving this fault with minimal cost. 
What should be checked out and in what order?
