Hi,

I ordered a new Kuga ST Line X which was built on 21/10/20 at the Saarlouis plant in Germany. Back in 2008 I bought a Focus ST at that time was able to check a Ford site with the chassis number and it told me where the car was throughout its journey to the UK. Does anyone know how I go about this for my Kuga ?

Problem is still limited staff in show rooms what kuga have you ordered has it been built?

 Don't want to put any negative into conversation but delivery after december could cost extra 10% import duty if brexit deal not made, think that only effects new orders though.

In that case least you got your car cheaper!

Not received yet, but I believe it arrived in Southampton on Friday. Dealer hasn’t told me this as yet, but I’ve been tracking ships from Valencia and two arrived Thursday and Friday last week. Depending on when Ford can get the logistics sorted to get my car from there up to a little south of Edinburgh and it gets it PDI, I’m hopeful to have it in the next two weeks I should think. 

I should point out that if you have ordered a PHEV, then there will be a long delay still, until they get the battery situation sorted.  I don’t like CVT gearboxes and in any case I wanted 4x4 and at the moment there is only one engine choice to get that. All other models are 2 wheel drive only.  So 190PS diesel it is. 

We originally ordered the phev back in September but after I did lots of reading on what was going on we changed to the st line x kuga our dealer said it was built and in Valencia. After speaking to him several times he has said it was on a ship. He was also saying that they have more deliveries coming in quicker but we have been given the latest date of 19th December. So keeping fingers crossed.

 

How can you track ships from Valencia pls

Just thought I'd mention here rather than start a new thread in case anyone is searching for a car from stock. Having a wander round while the Mrs was doing our essential shopping, I spotted a lot of unregistered new model Kugas in the compound of Stoneacre's York branoch.

No idea which engines/trims as I couldn't get in, but I counted at least 80 there.
