Hi everyone,

what are your opinions on the 2 in comparison.

1) focus 1.5 ecoboost titanium X 182hp powershift.

2) focus st 3 diesel powershift.

2 completely different cars...  Do you want something sporty or something comfortable?  Do you mostly do short, stop start journeys or sit on the motorway all day?

Although they have near enough the same power, the diesel will feel much quicker due to all the torque.

Id like a mixture of both comfort and something sporty enough even if its not a full blown hot hatch just with an element of fun included.

i do a mixture of both city driving and motorway.

i know the st3 is the highest spec you can buy as is the titanium x is there anything the titanium had that the st3 doesnt tech wise or are they more or less the same?

Alternatively you could buy a mk3 1.5 derv and have it remapped to 147bhp plenty of poke with the extra torque and good mpg all round.

Titanium X came with self parking which the ST3 doesn't.  But the ST3 comes with full leather sports seats where the TX only has half leather comfort seats.  They both come with climate control, cruise control, auto lights and wipers and xenon headlights.

The main difference is the external looks and ride comfort though.  The ST3 comes on sports suspension with 18" (or 19") wheels where the TX comes on 17s with a higher ride height.  Bumpers are also different and the ST has a bigger spoiler.

Your driving should be fine for the diesel so engine choice isn't restricted there.
