Glove box removal.

Featured Replies

Hi All.

This may seem like a daft question but here goes!

Tried to remove the glove box on my Focus yesterday to get better access to change the cabin filter, got glove box unscrewed ok but could not get one of the wiring plugs attached to the usb/jack socket undone! It,s the small cylindrical looking plug with what looks like a single thickish cable attached to it. Lifted the small locking tab at the side of it but still could not move it! Gave op in the end!!

Thoughts anyone?

Regards.

Steve. (2011 focus 1.6 ti-vct Titanium estate).

There's no need to remove the glovebox for the cabin filter.  Don't believe everything you read in the Haynes!

In the MK2 yes cos space is limited and you can get it out easier but on mk3 you can simply pull it out no restrictions.

Cheers for the replies!

Thats obviously why they call the Haynes manual "the book of lies" LOL!

Steve.
