2009 focus cc roof operation

My focus cc just bongs at me when I start it coming up with message saying complete roof operation. If I press the roof button it says roof service.

Guessing it is sensor orientated but wondered if there is anywhere obvious to start before I take it to ford to get it plugged in?

All the windows operate as they should

    You might struggle to get an answer on here as I don't often see posts from Focus CC owners, I don't know if it's going to be any better but have you also checked the TalkFord site?

    sounds like sunroof needs greasing. when was it maintained/serviced last?

    Forscan should pick up roof faults if you're able to try that.

    My guess would be the roof lid microswitch faulty.
