Playing MP3's off a USB

Featured Replies

With my previous Ford ( Synch 2- MK3) I could bung a bunch of MP3 Albums, either one by one of a subfolder it its all by one group,  on a USB thumb drive, plug it in and once indexed it would play all folders in alphabetical order ( or numerically if I wanted them in particular order) However the Synch3 - Mk4 system just wants to play in a random order.

I've possibly tried all the options I know, are there any other ways of listing them in the order I like ?

I use MP3tag to reauthor the metadata/ID3 on my thumb drive and it all plays in order.

The thing that mucks everything up is the track title, if you delete that and just leave the filename and correct track number then everything will play correctly.
If you look at my guides link (under my posts when viewed via a web browser) there is a quick how-to for using MP3tag.

Thank you, I've been using MP3Tag for years

The guide is for Sync2 but basically I have to clear all the track titles and just leave the file name?, I had an image saved from when I had Sync2 in my old car noting what columns the car reads.

I will give it a try.

Yes, clear the title column.
