Radio and screen not working

Featured Replies

Hi!

Recently purchased my first ford, a ford focus 2011 titanium 1,6tdci. Got a good price but a tradeoff was that the car radio did not turn on. I have the sony panel one, and i measured voltage on the plug and it is +12v between earth and battery pole. When i measure on ignition live i get 0v, when the ignition is on and off? Isn't this supposed to be a switched wire, a start signal sort of? I have checked many of the fuses that ive read can be the reason, but with no luck. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be, and how to fix it? :))

The screen is not turning on, and the buttons on the sony panel is not lighting on, the picture is just to show which radio I have :)

lot of people seem to retro fitting these radios are you sure this is original and has previously worked?

I can't say im 100% sure it is original, but for sure seems like it. Previous owner said it worked half a year ago, but they did not have any electrical car knowledge, so they didn't even try to fix it.
