Massive leak. Need help

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I have a 2012 focus only 45000 miles so not driven like crazy. I've had a leak in the rear footwells and boot that no garage seems to be able to fix. The vents have been sealed so thats not the cause.  Its currently with another mechanic now who thinks he has fixed the boot leak that was from the spoiler but the rear driver footwell is soaked and he nor I have any idea where its coming from. The doors are bone dry so doesn't seem likely that its a door seal. The boot also has a bung removed so any water in there is draining so I don't think that it would be going forwards to the footwell. Also the rear seats have been removed because they were getting wet but the carpet underneath where they would be is soaked.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

We've seen a few roof joints cracking and leaking on the Mk3s lately.  You'd have to remove the plastics and lower the headlining to check.  There are also some rivets for the bumper brackets that can leak.
