Hi all 👋🏼 I was wondering if I could get peoples thoughts. I have been wanting to buy a Kuga since they first came out in 2008! I worked in a Ford garage but couldn’t afford one. I now have to chance to buy one. 2008-2012. Do you have thoughts on which year is the better to buy from?
I have been searching listings for a couple of weeks now and I like to think I’m pretty good at sussing out 2nd cars 😬🤷🏼‍♀️ I only have about £3,500/5,000 to play with and 5k is really a maximum. I want the 2L diesel. I drive local a couple of times a week, little one to nursery etc and then 160 miles twice a week on the motorway. It may be controversial of me to say, so I apologise to those that do, but I really don’t like the colour trim of some older models. The orange and the blue strip on the seat and centre console.
Am I better buying the 2012 so I only have an 8 year old car? Or were the previous years models better? Plus I read that FWD is more nimble, less bulky ?

I had a 2012 Titanium with the 180hp 2L Diesel and it never missed a beat. I had the 19” wheels and it didn’t seem to affect the ride at all. As for the trim, mine had half leather with a grey stripe in the cloth part on the seat. No orange or anything in your face.
