Changing rear door, central locking issues

Featured Replies

Hi guys, hoping you can help me.

Replacing a dented rear drivers side door with a new one, problem is the new door I got had electric windows, my old door was manual. I have changed the window mech so that's fine, but I can't seem to get the central locking to work.

Does anyone know what I need to do here?

I can only find one plug for the door connector but there is space for 2, not sure if that's the issue

Any help really appreciated, can't afford a mechanic at the moment

Thanks all

Fixed it, had to swap wiring around and get all the electric window stuff out.

Wow....you are a fast worker!

Love the retro approach on taking, 'all that electric stuff out', now me, I'd be wondering how to add electric to the other door to give me 4 x electric windows! LOL

Hi Monty, could you please detail exactly what you needed to do? I have the same problem at the moment (and also with a replacement front passenger door also). 10mins jobs ain't what they used to be 🙁
