600Cd Error Code E12

Hi

Getting an error code E12 when trying any CD in my 6000cd unit, have tried various fixes on other forums including disconnecting the battery and taking the unit out and lid off. None of these have worked but when i had the lid off and with it powered up the CD spins ok but just rejects it after a couple of trys with the original error. Does anyone have any ideas or is it just broken?
