Drivers door wiring replacement

Morning all,

A couple of days ago the 'find the right key in the dark' light in the drivers door mirror had a slight flicker, and yesterday the battery was flat.


Forscan tells me there is a short in the wiring that leads from the windows switch in the drivers door to the OSR window switch, so I need to check the drivers door wiring where it gets twisted about near the hinge.

I did the same job a couple of times to my old Focus estate boot lid but it was a lot easier to get to the wiring on that.


So, can I release the rubber boot/sleeve thingy easily to check, or is it a PITA job?
