Focus mk2.5 Coilovers

Featured Replies

Hey guys, looking at Pro Sport Coilovers for my 2011 mk2.5 Focus. Getting 18" ST's soon too hopefully so once it has new shoes and is lowered it'll really set the car off nicely. Has anyone else installed pro sports before and how do they feel? Are shortened droplinks or endlinks needed? Not looking for a huge drop maybe 40mm on the rear and 30mm in the front. Only reason I'm going with coilovers over lowering springs is I want the shocks to come with it and I'm on a budget, also prefer the adjustability the coilovers have to offer and also less hassle with the NCT as long as its not stiff 😂 any help appreciated tia.

To be honest in this price range you can not expect much quality. I do not know this particular coilover kit but similar coilover kits within this price range are usually bone shaking stiff. Another major disadvantage is that Pro Sport only has 1 kit that comprises most engine types. Ford and al major suppliers of (lowering) springs have different springs at the front on the weight of the engine.

To be honest within this budget I personally prefer a decent lowering kit (for example the Eibach Pro-Kit that is approved by Ford) combined with a decent set of new shock absorbers. This usually results in a much better handling than a low budget coilover kit.
