Mk7 fiesta airbag

Hi,

The connector under the drivers seat has a wire for the airbag  and a wire for the seat belts . Does anyone know which colour goes to which? The colours are magenta and yellow

Cheers

why do you need to know what's the problem should not be fiddling with air bags as they are a safety feature they can cause injury too if deployed unintentionally.

Before anything to do with airbags, the advice from Ford is to disconnect the battery and leave for at least 30 minutes.

Thanks for the replies . The battery will be disconnected. Want to fit a resistor to see if it’s the airbag module in the seat or the wiring loom .

ive got fault code B1126 side airbag squib circuit , driver side.

They cause plenty of injuries when deployed intentionally too!  Always think about the wheel airbag when I'm on windy single track blind bends...if someone crashes into me half way round a corner I'm likely to get decapitated by own arm flying through my face. :ermm:  Try to avoid crossing my arm over the wheel as much as possible!

As for the actual fault, the plugs under the seat are probably just loose.  Have you tried unplugging them and bending the pins together a bit?

I’ll give that a go first . Top tip . Thanks

After a little digging it appears that the yellow is the airbag and the purple/magenta is the seat belt .
